During your job search have you seen the term ‘Star technique’, wondered what it was and how to use it?
On our Interview advice page we’ve mentioned competency based interviews and how to answer those sorts of questions from interviewer by using the STAR technique.
This stands for Situation, Task, Action and Results – the aim being to describe a situation to the interviewer which then leads to the task that you had to resolve, the action you took and what results it had.
